ITOCA - Information Technology Outreach Centre for Africa

ITOCA is a capacity building organization aimed at enhancing information and communications technology skills for librarians, information specialists, scientists, researchers and students. Phi works very closely with ITOCA as their training programmes and projects are complementary. An MoU was signed in January 2012

2012 March: Gracian Chimwaza, Director ITOCA, came to the UK as a Commonwealth Fellow. He was hosted by Phi, and came for discussions and visits with a number of organizations including the Institute for Development Studies, and the University of Staffordshire to learn about KOHA, open source software for library management systems.

 

2012 April:  Visit by Blessing Chataira, Programme Officer and Head of Continuing Education and Professional Development at ITOCA. Among other visits and engagements, she attended the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP ) International Training week, Kellogg College, in Oxford and participated in the Systematic Reviews Network Conference at Cardiff University.
